The year 2019 was one of great achievements for Nature Power Foundation: We saw approximately 1,000 people improve their living conditions, with a greater understanding of caring for their environment. Many went from being in complete darkness to having permanent light and others, from having to search for contaminated water far away, to receiving clean water in their homes.
We have also seen how people are empowered to start their own businesses when we help them play to on a leveled fiel to bet on sustainability.
We also managed to successfully celebrate “Stars in the Darkness,” a unique and an unprecedented event in the Dominican Republic on the occasion of World Environment Day, with the participation of approximately 500 guests. Large companies and institutions in the country were recognized for their sustainable practices and, especially, the people who live in a state of vulnerability were distinguished as stars that shine in the dark.
For these and many more achievements, we are deeply GRATEFUL.
