Santo Domingo. – Nature Power Foudation and Habitat for Humanity organizations Dominican Republic signed a collaboration agreement to implement development projects and technical assistance for the benefit of communities and vulnerable families with needs for solutions decent and safe housing, prioritizing access to energy and water solar solutions.
With this agreement, both organizations seek to sustainable housing to protect the environment promote the use of clean energy that contributes to lessening the impact negative climate shocks, supporting low-income families to developing and progressing comprehensively and sustainably, so that become agents of their own changes and that of their communities.
This action meets the Development Goal Sustainable 17, Partnerships to Achieve Goals, established by the United Nations countries requiring development assistance.
Prior to the signing of the agreement, Laura Rojas, director Executive Nature Power Foundation expressed satisfaction with this partnership: “We are happy to bring end-to-end solutions to people living in vulnerable conditions and help them improve their living conditions through sustainable housing solutions that will have permanent light produced by the sun.” Cesarina Fabián, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity RD said: “We unite the strengths of each of our institutions so that communities can benefit and enjoy decent and safe housing, working shoulder to shoulder and hand-to-hand to achieve a world where every person has a decent place to live.”
