NATURE VILLAGE: INNOVATION AND CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES FOR SUSTAINABLE RURAL DEVELOPMENT

NPF Intervention Proposal
NATURE VILLAGE is a sustainable community model that will improve the socioeconomic and environmental conditions of people in extreme poverty in the Dominican Republic, through targeted interventions to provide access to basic services such as energy, water and sanitation, improvement of housing, access to education, rural enterprises and technology, through solar panels.
- Location: Sabana Yegua Viejo, Azua Province, R.D.
- It will operate entirely with solar energy.
- We will demonstrate that access to basic services, in addition to closing development gaps and fighting poverty, can generate changes in behavior patterns regarding the consumption and payment of energy and drinking water services.

HOUSEHOLDS
Together with Hábitat Dominican , we will build, from late of February 2020, houses made with recycled plastic blocks and illuminated with photovoltaic energy, to benefit the 50 families currently in a state of vulnerability in Sabana Yegua Viejo. These homes will have replacement of dirt floors for cement, 2 bedrooms, living room - dining room and kitchen; the replacement of latrines for bathrooms, among other improvements.
We invite you to contribute one or more homes.
